FEST-SPAN manufactures products such as heat exchanger plates for the power plant sector, for chemical and petrochemical industry, food industry, for fertilizer production, for oil coolers and other cooling equipment as well as nozzle bases and filter plates according to customer specifications or own calculations.

Mechanical processing
As a flexible company, FEST- SPAN is a specialist for the large-scale production of heat exchanger plates and condenser bases up to 35 t unit weight and workpiece sizes up to 8,000 x 5,000 mm. CNC machining, e.g. for deep hole drilling, achieves accuracies of +/- 0.05 mm in alignment at a drilling depth of 750 mm. Before the start of production, our CNC machines are programmed quickly and cost-effectively using our own software applications. To complete our offer, we provide services such as turning, water jet and laser cutting.
Deep hole drilling / milling
Workpieces with a maximum diameter of 4,800 mm are machined on CNC-controlled jig boring machines. In addition to new CNC deep hole boring mills, which drill to depths of up to 1,000 mm with the highest surface quality, FEST-SPAN also has CNC-controlled travelling column milling machines. Workpiece sizes of up to 8,000 x 5,000 mm can be machined on these machines.

For us as a manufacturer, this means selecting the best possible production methods as early as the production planning stage. Starting with the evaluation of the raw material, to the continuous control of all manufacturing tolerances, to the on-time delivery of a visually flawless workpiece to the customer, our production process is subject to constant quality monitoring. Founded in 1990, the expansion-oriented FEST-SPAN GmbH has successfully established itself on the European market as a high-performance supplier for apparatus engineering in the fields of deep hole drilling and milling technology. Since 1999 we have been continuously certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001.
Proximity to the customer and the ability to meet even special requirements in terms of material and finish of the components give you the guarantee of timely and optimal delivery of the workpiece.

The "sunny side" of FEST-SPAN
Already since 2008, we have been generating up to 150 kW of carbon-free and fine-dust-free energy with 682 solar panels. The solar panels are installed on our 2,000 m² hall roof surfaces. This results in an environmentally friendly and low-emission electricity production of 125 megawatts per year.
Under the panels, the roofs were planted with mosses. This naturally lowers the hall temperature in summer.
To further utilize solar energy, we have installed a total of 160 vacuum tube collectors for hot water production. This allows us to reduce gas consumption and limit the use of fossil fuels.
